8h

During a day-long adventure, discover the beauty of the Scottish glens and lochs, and visit the must-see Stirling Castle. A true encapsulation of the beauty of Scotland, without too much driving.

Tour Highlights:

  • The Kelpies: Departing Edinburgh, your journey begins with the first highlight of the day: the Kelpies. Forget the Loch Ness monster and discover the story of these shape-shifting water spirits represented by 30-metre-tall sculptures.

  • Loch Katrine Cruise: After, head west to the picturesque shores of Loch Katrine; a jewel among Scotland's lochs in both beauty and size. Here, you can join a one-hour cruise, taking in the views of the loch's collection of islands and surrounding mountains.

  • Trossachs National Park: Discover the stunning nature of this park, aptly named "the Highlands in miniature" for its wealth of lochs, mountains and forests. You'll explore these rolling landscapes associated with the legendary outlaw, Rob Roy MacGregor. A well-deserved break in a charming village nestled amongst the natural beauty provides the perfect setting for a delicious lunch.

  • Stirling Castle: After lunch, our itinerary takes you through the town of Callander, to our final destination of the day: Stirling Castle. Perched atop a volcanic rock, this fortress is one of Scotland's most important historical sites and offers stunning views. You'll have plenty of time to explore the castle, immersing yourself in the stories of key historical figures such as William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots. With breathtaking views of the mountains and the Wallace Monument, the Stirling Castle experience is a must on any trip to Scotland.

  • Forth Bridges View: As the day draws to a close, you'll begin your journey back to Edinburgh, stopping to admire the gorgeous World Heritage Forth Bridges. Our guide will use this stop to demonstrate how to properly wear a kilt!
