Join a private 1 day excursion to the Highlands to discover the secrets of Pitlochry, Dunkled and the jewell of the North: Blair Atholl Castle

8h
Enjoy a day in the forest of the Highlands and visit the impressive residence of one of Scotland's most powerful families: the Atholl clan.
Tour Highlights:
-
Views of the Edinburgh UNESCO bridges
-
Dunkeld Cathedral: Stop by the quaint village of Dunkeld, lost in the forest to visit the ruin of its cathedral
-
The Hermitage Walk: Enjoy a lovely walk in the Tay Forrest toward a stone bridge perched above the water of the Atholl family
-
Blair Castle: As you approach Blair Castle, its striking white façade stands boldly against the rugged Highland backdrop. With over 700 years of history, the castle has witnessed clan feuds, Jacobite uprisings, and royal visits. Inside, lavishly decorated rooms display antique weaponry, grand tapestries, and priceless heirlooms, offering a glimpse into the lives of the Dukes of Atholl.
-
Pitlochry: Nestled along the banks of the River Tummel, Pitlochry has long been a favorite escape for travelers seeking the beauty of the Highlands. In the Victorian era, this town became a fashionable holiday destination, drawing visitors with its crisp air and spectacular scenery. Take time to wander the town’s charming streets, perhaps indulging in a warm scone or a dram of whisky in a cozy café.
Add-on (optional): Try some whisky and visit a distillery! Blair Atholl Distillery is one of Scotland’s oldest working distilleries, established in 1798. Known for its rich heritage and traditional methods, the distillery produces a smooth, full-bodied single malt whisky with a mellow, nutty character. Its water source, the Allt Dour burn, plays a key role in crafting the unique flavor profile.
